LAKE MARIN

Brief description of fishery:
Lake Marin – The Island Chuck Specialists’ Paradise
At 3.5 acres, Lake Marin is all about accuracy and opportunity. With one large island at its heart, almost every peg gives you a perfect island chuck — distances range from 28 to 35 metres depending on where you’re sat. Stocked mainly with mirror and common carp, it’s one of those venues where if the float dips, there’s a good chance it’s a carp on the other end. That said, a few bream and ide keep things interesting.

Who’s in the Water?
  • Carp (Mirror & Common) – up to 8lb
  • Bream – to 3lb
  • Ide – to 2lb

Depths & Pegs:
All pegs offer 4–5.5ft of water, making it easy to get dialled in.

Top Tips (as of 01/05/2025):
  • Carp are starting to feed — keep it little and often early in the day.
  • If things aren’t happening, it’s worth upping the feed later on.

Hot Baits:
  • Pellet (Micro–6mm)
  • Maggot
  • Corn

Final verdict: Lake Marin rewards precision casting and smart feeding, offering steady carp action and the occasional silver surprise — a great choice for anglers who like a target to aim at.
